Simply put in ice cubes, a touch of salt, and water, then place on the aluminium cap and fill with your desired ingredients. Then secure the lid and give it a good shake. There are a range of recipes to choose from and they are all detailed in the Secret Recipes book which comes with the Ice Cream Maker. So, the flavour is really up to you - will it be chocolate, banana split or maybe strawberry? And there are four different models to choose from - dog, penguin, polar bear and seal. No batteries are required - in fact, the only power needed is a bit of good, old-fashioned elbow grease. Just two tablespoons, and really slightly less than that! But it's really easy to use, and it only takes three minutes to make a smidgen of ice cream. The resulting dessert is typically very soft, and usually sticks to the metal like a sheet, and has to be scraped off with a spoon, while the center may remain a bit runny.Here's how the mug is constructed. The top whole head piece is "empty space" when making the ice cream. Below that is a plastic cap and metal chamber, where liquid is placed. In the lowest chamber (the plastic mug), ice, salt, and water are placed. Once the ice cream is finished, the head section comes off, and the ice cream is best eaten straight from the metal section (kept attached to the lower mug). But what I do know is that they arrived with a bit of paint scuffed on the faces of the animals. I submitted a complaint and the seller went above and beyond trying to get a hold of me and make it right. I really hope the product is as good as the seller's customer service! |
